The 1928 USC Trojans football team represented the University of Southern California in the 1928 college football season. The Trojans went undefeated and won the Pacific Coast Conference championship but declined to participate in the 1929 Rose Bowl which California attended in their place. Although the team did not attend a bowl USC claims a national championship and is ranked first in the Dickinson System rankings for 1928.
