1902 Shaposhnikov (1972 HU) is an outer main-belt asteroid discovered on April 18 1972 by T. Smirnova at Nauchnyj. It is the most recent outer main belt asteroid discovered that is ~100+ km in diameter. The asteroid is roughly 97 km in diameter and has a dark albedo. 1390 Abastumani with a diameter of roughly 102 km was discovered in 1935.
