The 1900 U.S. Open was the sixth U.S. Open. The golf tournament was held October 4–5 at Chicago Golf Club in Wheaton Illinois. On a tour of the United States English great Harry Vardon won his first U.S. Open title with a two-stroke victory over his great rival John Henry Taylor.In the United States to promote the Vardon Flyer Ball Vardon made his first appearance at the U.S. Open.
