18434 Mikesandras (1994 EW7) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on March 12 1994 by C. S. Shoemaker and D. H. Levy at Palomar. It is named for Michael D. Sandras (1963-2011). Sandras was at various times curator of the science center’s planetarium and observatory in Kenner Louisiana at the Louis Roussell Planetarium and at the time of his death from complications of diabetes as manager of the Gretna Observatory.
