1597 Laugier (1949 EB) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on March 7 1949 by Louis Boyer at Algiers.It was probably named after French astronomer and asteroid discoverer Marguerite Laugier (1896–1976) but possibly (also) after French astronomer Paul Auguste Ernest Laugier (1812–1872).
