1570 Brunonia (1948 TX) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on October 9 1948 by Sylvain Julien Victor Arend at the Royal Observatory of Belgium in Uccle Belgium. In 1954 he named the asteroid after Brown University. Arend wrote to Brown Professor Charles H. Smiley:
