15609 Kosmaczewski (2000 GP124) is a Mars-crossing asteroid discovered on April 7 2000 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team at Socorro.This Asteroid bears its name since 2002 thanks to Sara Kosmaczewski a student in Hamden (Connecticut USA) after winning the Discovery Young Scientist Challenge science contest.
