15565 Benjaminsteele is a main-belt asteroid. It was named in honor of Benjamin C. Steele for achievement as a finalist in the 2001 Discovery Young Scientist Challenge (DYSC) a middle school science competition. He did his undergraduate studies at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and is now a graduate student in biology at MIT.
