15434 Mittal (1998 VM25) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on November 10 1998 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team at Socorro.15434 Mittal is named after Alexander Mittal commemorating his scientific research generalizing the field of DNA nanotechnology to include artificial nucleic acids.
