1462 Zamenhof is an asteroid in the asteroid belt discovered by the Finnish astronomer and physicist Yrjö Väisälä on February 6 1938. It has a diameter of about 26 km and geometric albedo of 0.1268. It is named for L. L. Zamenhof ophthalmologist and creator of the constructed language Esperanto.
