14224 Gaede (1999 XU33) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on December 6 1999 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team at Socorro. It was named in honor of Alison Gaede for mentoring a finalist in the 2001 Discovery Young Scientist Challenge (DYSC) a middle school science competition. Gaede is a teacher at the Reyburn Intermediate School Clovis California.
