129564 Christy (provisional designation: 1997 ER40) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by Marc W. Buie at the Anderson Mesa Station in Coconino County Arizona on March 7 1997. It is named after James W. Christy an American astronomer most notable for his discovery of Pluto’s satellite Charon.
