12866 Yanamadala (1998 KL65) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on May 22 1998 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team at Socorro.It was named in honor of Vijay Yanamadala (b. 1986) a finalist in the 2002 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair for his environmental science project. He attended the Palos Verdes Peninsula High School and then Harvard University.
