11842 Kap’bos (1987 BR1) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on January 22 1987 by E. W. Elst at the European Southern Observatory.Kapbos (Kapellenbos) is a small village east of the city of Antwerp. Recently there has been established a small observatory for astrometry of minor planets. It has been named appropriately after the famous orbit calculator of asteroids and comets Brian G. Marsden (1937-2010)
