11694 Esterhuysen (1998 FO70) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on March 20 1998 by the Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research Team at Socorro.The asteroid was named for Stephanus Albertus Esterhuysen (b. 1983) a then student at the Technical High School in Potchefstroom North West Province South Africa who was a finalist with his engineering project: Corundum and Spinel Synthesis in the 2002 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.
