106869 Irinyi (provisional designation: 2000 YY31) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by Krisztián Sárneczky and László Kiss at the Piszkéstető Station in the Mátra mountains of Hungary on December 31 2000. It is named after János Irinyi a Hungarian chemist of the 19th century.
