10617 Takumi (1997 UK24) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on October 25 1997 by M. Hirasawa and Shohei Suzuki at Nyukasa. It is named after astronomer Takumi Takahata whose measurescope was used by the discoverers to determine the asteroid’s coordinates.
