The Żarnowiec Pumped Storage Power Station is located about 7 km (4.3 mi) south of Żarnowiec in Puck County northern Poland. The 680 MW pumped-storage power station was constructed between 1976 and 1983. The power station was modernized between 2007 and 2011 and the upper reservoir was reconstructed in 2006. It is the largest hydroelectric power station in Poland.
