The First Full Moon Festival in East Asian cultural sphere is a festival celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month in the lunisolar year in the lunar calendar marking the last day of the lunar New Year celebration. It is also known as the Yuanxiao Festival or Shangyuan Festival; Chap Goh Meh Festival in China and the Chinatown all over the world; Yuen Siu Festival in Hong Kong Tết Thượng Nguyên or Tết Nguyên Tiêu in Vietnam; Daeboreum in Korea and Koshōgatsu in Japan.
